Rajasthan Royals v Delhi Capitals
9/10/20, 3pm (BST), Sharjah
WINNER
RAJASTHAN ROYALS – 11/10
V
DELHI CAPITALS – 8/11
Match Preview
Three defeats on the bounce make this a must-win for Rajasthan Royals, who could be strengthened by the return of star man Ben Stokes after his arrival from New Zealand, and they are in need of inspiration if they are to climb back up the table.
They have struggled with the ball so expect him to replace Tom Curran and a reshuffle of the order, while Steve Smith is in need of the runs the Royals are so in need of.
Delhi Capitals on the other hand, are bang in form having won their last two and four games in total, with their top order and key bowlers all finding their groove early on.
Unless Stokes can have an immediate impact, the Capitals are worthy favourites at 8/11 while the Royals are 11/10 for the win.
Our Prediction
Prithvi Shaw to score more runs than Shikhar Dhawan – 1/1
The 20-year-old is a player in prime form, having scored 5, 64, 2, 66 and 42 at the top of the order and generally getting Capitals off to a good start with Dhawan, who with 0, 35, 34, 26 and 32 is also in good form.
Both will fancy their chances to go big against a weak Rajasthan attack, but we’re backing Shaw to pass fifty once again and outscore his partner.
Elsewhere, given Smith’s struggles (3, 5 and 6 in his last three knocks) we fancy him to score under 24.5 runs at 11/10 against the current purple cap holder in Kagiso Rabada.
