Mumbai Indians v Kolkata Knight Riders
16/10/20, 3pm (BST), Abu Dhabi
WINNER
MUMBAI INDIANS – 8/13
V
KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDERS – 13/10
Match Preview
With four wins on the bounce, Mumbai Indians are the form team in the competition and currently look well-set to mount a serious defence of their title.
They thrashed Kolkata Knight Riders in the first fixture between these two sides and are currently well-balanced, with all their batsmen and bowlers contributing without having to rely on one player in particular.
KKR have been inconsistent. After their bowling helped them edge two tight games, it all fell apart against RCB in a massive 82-run defeat with their batting unable to bail them out and growing concerns over the order.
KKR have the players to beat anyone, but are 13/10 to beat favourites Mumbai who are 8/13 to win.
Our Prediction
Quinton de Kock to score a fifty – 12/5
After taking a while to find his feet, de Kock has found his groove for the champions with scores of 67, 23 and 53 – the last two of which have come at Abu Dhabi.
Batting at the top of the order is the place to be and especially against a struggling KKR attack without Sunil Narine, so 12/5 for the South African to hit a third fifty is tempting alongside 11/5 for his captain Rohit Sharma.
