KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDERS – Evens
Match Preview
It’s a battle of the top two at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Saturday afternoon as two-time winners Kolkata Knight Riders take on the impressive Delhi Capitals. The Capitals were soundly beaten by Sunrisers last time out for their first defeat of the campaign and so perhaps odds of even money on the Knight Riders winning this one are a bit more appealing. Kagiso Rabada has done a lot of the heavy-lifting for the Capitals in the bowling department, so if the Knight Riders can work him out I fancy them to do well.
The Knight Riders go into this game having won two on the spin after they followed up a comfortable seven-wicket win over Sunrisers with another easy win against the Royals earlier in the week. Delhi won both clashes when the sides met last season, a thrilling Super Over settled the tie in Delhi, before Shikhar Dhawan’s unbeaten 97 earned Delhi a seven-wicket win at Eden Gardens in the reverse fixture.
Our Prediction
Kolkata Knight Riders to win @ Evens
I’m not convinced that Delhi should be odds on favourites to win this clash, despite their good start to the season. Defeat to Sunrisers in their last match will have had an affect on them and it shouldn’t be forgotten that the Knight Riders are in superb form themselves. Two wins from two has put them within touching distance of top spot in the table and I think they’ll have enough firepower to win this clash.
