Sunrisers Hyderabad v Rajasthan Royals
11/10/20, 11am (BST), Dubai
WINNER
SUNRISERS HYDERABAD – 8/11
V
RAJASTHAN ROYALS – 11/10
Match Preview
The last games for each of these two sides could tell us a lot about their fortunes for the rest of the season, with Sunrisers Hyderabad turning in an excellent performance led by Jonny Bairstow and David Warner, and Rajasthan Royals limping to a dismal defeat.
Sunrisers have been inconsistent but with three wins in four and their key men in form – Rashid Khan also enjoyed a good day out last time – they look like they have settled on a winning formula and will be a tough game for anyone to negotiate.
The Royals however are desperate for the imminent return of Ben Stokes and the inspiration he brings. They are too reliant on the batting of Jos Buttler with Steve Smith and Sanju Samson well out of form, although Jofra Archer showcased his world class talents on Friday.
Sunrisers are comfortable favourites for this one at 8/11 compared to 11/10 for Smith’s men.
Our Prediction
Jonny Bairstow to top score for Sunrisers Hyderabad – 12/5
The man in form after delivering on our tip with 97 against Kings XI Punjab, Bairstow will be licking his lips at the prospect of facing the Royals attack, despite the potency of Archer.
If he can make it past Archer’s early burst, he should kick on and could easily make a fourth fifty of the tournament, while Warner at 2/1 to make a half-century after scores of 36, 45, 28, 60 and 52 is also very good value.
Buttler is another who will fancy his chances before Rashid comes on to bowl, so 11/5 for him to make a fifty is also worth a look.
