Sydney Sixers v Perth Scorchers
Match Odds
SYDNEY SIXERS – 19/20
v
PERTH SCORCHERS – 4/5
16/1/21, 07:40am (GMT), Canberra
Match Preview
The Sixers are deserved leaders at the top of the BBL ladder having picked up seven win in their 10 matches, but will be out for revenge after a thrashing in their last meeting with the Scorchers.
Adam Voges’ side enjoyed returning home to Perth and have won five games on the bounce to shoot themselves to third place, and have an abundance of in-form talent in their line-up.
One likely absentee however will be Mitch Marsh with the explosive all-rounder suffering a side injury while bowling in their last game but the performances of Jason Roy and Liam Livingstone will give the team a lot of confidence.
Our Tips
Perth Scorchers to score over 65.5 runs in the first eight overs – 7/5 @ Betway
Roy and Livingstone put on 123 for the first wicket in the win over the Hurricanes in their last game in just 14.2 overs. If they continue in anything near that form, they will coast along at more than eight an over.
Josh Philippe to be Sydney Sixers leading run-scorer – 12/5 @ Bet365
Philippe is by far the Sixers’ best batsman, and he is a man in form with two half-centuries and three scores in the 40s this season while his last knock of 64 was brilliant in seeing off the Thunder.
