Sunrisers Hyderabad v Royal Challengers Bangalore
6/11/20, 2pm (GMT), Abu Dhabi
WINNER
SUNRISERS HYDERABAD – 4/5
V
ROYAL CHALLENGERS BANGALORE – 1/1
Match Preview
The winner-takes-it-all clash at Abu Dhabi promises to be a cracker, with Royal Challengers Bangalore looking to finally end their duck and win the title for the first time and Sunrisers Hyderabad a second time.
Sunrisers have a lot of experience of this stage of the tournament having reached the final four for a fifth successive year, and their run of form to sneak into the play-offs suggests they will fancy their chances of a place in Qualifier 2.
Three wins on the bounce mean Sunrisers are full of confidence going into this game, while Virat Kohli’s RCB have lost their last four games and have resorted to making changes to their line-up.
David Warner and Wriddhiman Saha have forged an imposing opening partnership and will be key to their hopes, but RCB will be hoping their batsmen can capitalise on what is – Rashid Khan aside – a slightly weaker attack.
Our Prediction
David Warner to hit a fifty – 2/1
The Sunrisers skipper has failed twice against RCB so far this season, with Washington Sundar opening the bowling and dismissing him cheaply last time they met, but has shown signs of top form lately.
Two half-centuries in his last three knocks mean he is seeing the ball well, and 47* in his last Abu Dhabi knock will fill him with confidence and for a man who likes the big occasion, he will be out to make his mark.
Other than that, odds of 1/1 for in-form Sunrisers to get the win is also a good bet.
