Royal Challengers Bangalore v Delhi Capitals
5/10/20, 3pm (BST), Dubai
It’s a top of the table clash at the Dubai International Stadium, as Royal Challengers Bangalore, fresh off the back of an eight-wicket win over the Rajasthan Royals, meet the Delhi Capitals who themselves earned a convincing victory last time out. Crucially for RCB, Virat Kohli hit form in the last match with a stylish 72 not out.
But Delhi themselves have plenty of players in form, SHreyas Iyer, Prithvi Shaw and Rishabh Pant have all scored in excess of 130 runs in the tournament while overseas pacemen Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje have taken 13 wickets between them. It’s a tough match to call and that is reflected in the match odds, with both sides priced at 10/11.
It may seem a strange selection given the South African has 146 runs to his name so far in the tournament but de Villiers has a 50% strike rate at passing 37 runs. He also comes in at four behind Finch, Padikkal and Kohli who are all in some sort of form so he may not even have time to get up to a decent total.
|Devdutt Padikkal – 174||Shreyas Iyer – 170|
|AB de Villiers – 146||Prithvi Shaw – 137|
|Aaron Finch – 109||Rishabh Pant – 134|
|Virat Kohli – 90||Shikhar Dhawan – 95|
|Yuzvendra Chahal – 8||Kagiso Rabada – 8|
|Shivam Dube – 4||Anrich Nortje – 5|
|Isuru Udana – 4||Amit Mishra – 3|
|Navdeep Saini – 3||Marcus Stoinis – 3|
