Rajasthan Royals v Royal Challengers Bangalore
17/10/20, 11am (BST), Dubai
It looks like last-chance saloon for Rajasthan Royals to put a run together if they want to try and challenge for the top four.
A comfortable defeat to Delhi did offer some encouragement – Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler were brilliant at the top and Jofra Archer has hit top gear – but there are too many dysfunctional parts to the team currently, most notably Steve Smith, for them to be considered challengers.
If they are to turn it around then they must start now, and get past Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore side who thrashed them last time out.
The Royals are outsiders at 11/10 while RCB are 8/11 to win.
Rajasthan Royals to record the highest opening partnership – 1/1
The partnership between Stokes and Buttler on Wednesday, although it only last four overs, was full of quality and thrilling strokeplay from the English pair and they should enjoy the RCB attack.
Kohli is a man in form with 72*, 43, 90* and 33* before 48 on Thursday, and is 2/1 to reach 50 once more.
