Melbourne Renegades v Perth Scorchers
12/12/20, 08:15am (GMT), Hobart
Melbourne Renegades have a lot of experience in their squad, making them contenders for the Big Bash title if they get off to a good start, and they will be banking on Aaron Finch to continue his recent good form.
Despite struggling in the IPL he got off to a fine start on home soil in the internationals against India and together with Shaun Marsh makes for an intimidating top order for the Renegades, while their bowling attack is spin-heavy with the likes of Imran Tahir, Imad Wasim and Mohammad Nabi.
Perth Scorchers have some eye-catching hitters which will make them an attractive side to watch this season, and they should enjoy the shorter boundaries on offer in Hobart, though Jason Roy still has to observe the quarantine period before playing.
Aaron Finch to score 50+ runs – 9/4 @ Betway
With two half-centuries, a century and scores of 35 and 0 against India, Finch is in prime form and enjoying being back in Australia, so he should enjoy himself against the Scorchers.
Colin Munro to outscore Josh Inglis – 1/1 @ Bet365
Inglis has been a find for the Scorchers and has started the Shield season well but Munro is a proven T20 specialist and a dangerous batsman for any shorter format side.
