Kolkata Knight Riders v Royal Challengers Bangalore
21/10/20, 3pm (BST), Abu Dhabi
KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDERS – 11/10
ROYAL CHALLENGERS BANGALORE – 8/11
Kolkata Knight Riders, under new leadership in Eoin Morgan, edged a Super Over on Sunday to establish themselves in the top four, and another win against third-placed Royal Challengers Bangalore would go some way to securing a play-off spot.
They are still some way off their best with the bat, but if Andre Russell can fire then they could be prime candidates to peak at the right time while Lockie Ferguson has added real class to the bowling attack that will pose a constant threat to RCB.
Virat Kohli’s side thrashed KKR last time the teams met and have shown good form throughout, bouncing back from defeat to Kings XI Punjab by beating Rajasthan Royals on Sunday.
RCB are 8/11 favourites to climb into second place with a win, with KKR 11/10.
Virat Kohli to score a fifty – 7/4
The RCB skipper has been in good form after a slow start, with scores of 72*, 43, 90*, 33*, 48 and 43 showing that he is getting himself in with every knock.
He was unbeaten last time against KKR on 33 and made 72* in RCB’s only previous game at Abu Dhabi so we think he is likely to be to rock in the order once again in making a half-century.
Elsewhere, given AB de Villiers’ form, 4/1 for him to hit the most sixes is eye-catching following a stunning 73* against the same opposition last week.
