Kolkata Knight Riders v Mumbai Indians
23/9/20, 3pm (BST), Abu Dhabi
KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDERS – 1/1
MUMBAI INDIANS – 4/5
Kolkata Knight Riders are the last team to take to the field in this year’s IPL and will do so under new leadership, with Brendon McCullum installed as head coach after narrowly missing out on the play-offs last year.
They will field the most expensive overseas player ever in Pat Cummins, while World Cup-winning captain Eoin Morgan has been in hot form for England and Tom Banton could be the surprise package of the tournament.
Defending champions Mumbai Indians are looking to bounce back after struggling to reach top gear in the opener against CSK, and will be looking to Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah to deliver.
Andre Russell to hit the most sixes – 3/1
Shubman Gill is a young batsman of whom plenty is expected and he sparkled last year with three half-centuries and his potential partnership with Banton at the top of the order could be one to keep an eye on for some of the other betting markets.
The youngster is 10/3 to top score for KKR, but we are backing the indomitable Andre Russell to hit the most sixes in the match after an IPL career-best of 52 maximums in 2019.
Don’t ignore the value on offer for Morgan though, who at 11/2 and given his recent form offers excellent value in the same market.
