Kings XI Punjab v Sunrisers Hyderabad
24/10/20, 3pm (BST), Dubai
WINNER
KINGS XI PUNJAB – 4/5
V
SUNRISERS HYDERABAD – 1/1
Match Preview
All of a sudden, Kings XI Punjab are in with an outside chance of making the top four after three wins on the bounce and if results go their way, they could actually find themselves in a play-off spot by the end of the day.
Chris Gayle’s influence has lessened the burden on the two openers, but it is the bowling attack of Kings XI that has really got them back within touching distance.
Should KKR lose in the day’s early game, it will be either Sunrisers Hyderabad or Kings XI who overtake them after David Warner’s side beat Rajasthan Royals.
It was a good time for the Sunrisers middle order to find form, but they are 1/1 outsiders to back that up with Kings XI 4/5 to keep their run going.
Our Prediction
Over 324.5 runs in the match – 11/10
While some of the grounds have suffered from so many matches being played, resulting in the average totals dropping, Dubai appears to be holding up with only one of the last four games seeing less than the 324.5 runs accrued.
Kings XI have won their last two games at the ground so will enjoy the surroundings, but there is also value in looking at Manish Pandey to outscore Jonny Bairstow after his heroics on Thursday.
