Final: Mumbai Indians v Delhi Capitals
10/11/20, 2pm (GMT), Dubai
After 59 matches, the IPL 2020 concludes with the two best teams lining up at Dubai to complete for the trophy.
Mumbai Indians have been assured of their place in the showpiece finale after thrashing the Delhi Capitals in Qualifier One, and are looking to retain their title for the first time and become just the second team ever to have recorded back-to-back successes.
It all looks positive for Mumbai, who have a batting line-up – led by Quinton de Kock, Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya – bang in form and bowlers in Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult who have proved lethal spells in recent matches.
It has been a bit more uncertain for the Capitals, who had to fight through a loss of form, inconsistent selection and a knock-out match with Sunrisers Hyderabad, but they will be encouraged by the attitude and skill shown while beating Sunrisers.
Marcus Stoinis and Shikhar Dhawan will be key players with the bat, while Kagiso Rabada is looking to hold onto the purple cap by outbowling his opponents.
Jasprit Bumrah most wickets for Mumbai Indians – 2/1
The saying is that batsmen win you matches, but bowlers win you tournaments and the recent form of Bumrah has gone some way to the putting Mumbai in a position to win in Dubai.
The India quick has 10 wickets in his last three matches without going for more than 17 in his four overs, and figures of 3/17 and 4/14 in his last two outings against the Capitals, so will be licking his lips at the prospect of facing them again.
