Delhi Capitals v Royal Challengers Bangalore
2/11/20, 2pm (GMT), Abu Dhabi
WINNER
DELHI CAPITALS – 1/1
V
ROYAL CHALLENGERS BANGALORE – 4/5
Match Preview
These two sides have done their utmost to throw away a virtually guaranteed play-off spot, but they look like they have just about scraped through, with the winner of this game certain to be in the last four come the end of the regular fixtures.
Net run rate issues could still cost the loser of this fixture should Sunrisers Hyderabad beat Mumbai Indians on Tuesday, while a heavy defeat could see them drop out of the top four and below Kolkata Knight Riders after they jumped up into fourth.
Both teams look totally shot with four and three successive losses respectively, with Delhi Capitals making just 110 and Royal Challengers Bangalore 120 at the weekend in their matches, but a win here will be a nice and needed confidence booster before the business end of the tournament.
Our Prediction
Yuzvendra Chahal to take over 1.5 wickets – 11/10
Such have been the inconsistencies of late in both these sides, picking a winner is extra difficult but the Capitals’ batting has looked so laboured in recent games that we expect that to continue against a solid RCB attack.
Chahal in particular should cause problems against the middle order – which has struggled to get the spin away – if his side is in a position to attack when he comes on.
