Australia v India, 3rd T20I
8/12/20, 08:10am (GMT), Sydney
Another dazzling display with the bat saw India come out on top in the second T20 and secure the series on Sunday, with Australia’s depleted line-up unable to defend 194.
There was a lot to be encouraged about for the hosts, with stand-in captain Matthew Wade starring with the bat and Marcus Stoinis finding form, but the depth of the Indian batting proved too much.
Even an experimental bowling attack managed to get India over the line with T Natarajan in particular impressing, but with the World Cup just around the corner their batting looks in fine fettle even with Ravi Jadeja out injured.
It’s hard to see this final game going any differently to the others, with Hardik Pandya in particular on top of his game.
Shikhar Dhawan to score over 25.5 runs – 1/1
Following on from a fine IPL in which he finished runner-up in the race for the Orange Cap to his opening partner, Dhawan got back to form with 52 in the second T20 to make it his second half-century Down Under.
He also scored 30 in the second ODI so against a makeshift new-ball attack he will fancy getting stuck in and making a big score again.
