Australia v India, 1st T20I
4/12/20, 08:10am (GMT), Canberra
India’s win in the third and final ODI will give them momentum going into this three-match series, and they will fancy their chances of continuing that form given their appetite for T20 cricket.
Following on from the IPL all the players will be battle-hardened in this format and have a plethora of options to choose from, while Australia have been setback by injuries.
Mitchell Starc and Ashton Agar are the latest to go down with problems, adding to David Warner and Marcus Stoinis so Australia’s likely line-up will be far from their strongest.
India’s strong top-order should enjoy themselves against a depleted attack but the key men in this game are likely to be the ‘X-factor’ players in Glenn Maxwell and Hardik Pandya – whoever has the best night could well be the match-winner.
Glenn Maxwell to hit the most sixes – 7/1
Maxwell appears to be on a personal mission to disprove the doubters after a poor IPL, and responded with 167 runs at a strike rate of 194.18 in the three ODIs, leading the six-hitting charts with 11 maximums in just 86 balls faced.
His position in the order means he might not face as many balls as some of the others in the betting, but his form makes him a leading contender.
